School Teacher Training

Teaching involves the use of a wide body of knowledge about the subject being taught, and another set of knowledge about the most effective ways to teach that subject to different kinds of learner; it, therefore, requires teachers to undertake a complex set of tasks every minute. Many teachers experience their first years in the profession as stressful. The proportion of teachers who either do not enter the profession after completing initial training, or who leave the profession after their first teaching post, is high.A distinction is sometimes made between inducting a teacher into a new school (explaining the school's vision, procedures etc.), and inducting a new teacher into the teaching profession (providing the support necessary to help the beginning teacher develop a professional identity, and to further develop the basic competences that were acquired in college).

Designed for organizations into education that wish to develop and upgrade the skills of their teaching teams. This training module is developed as a tool to train school teachers for creating a culture of safety through knowledge and education. This teaching module is designed to provide an overview of what it takes to be an effective facilitator or trainer. The module can be used by individual teachers to gain insights, background and strategies for creating a welcoming, inclusive environment in the classroom or at the broader whole-school level. Participants will have the opportunity to review training curriculum, explore training skills, and learn how to use a training observation tool. We provide participants with the principles to enable course planning, and techniques to deliver effective training sessions.

The course is practical, as participants experience new training techniques and then practice them. At the end of the course, participants deliver a short training session using their own materials, and receive detailed feedback. While the focus of training approach and methodology is on experiential methods, the module uses a combination of traditional learning methods, such as presentations and discussions, along with more participatory and experiential learning approaches.

This course aims to meet the changing needs of teaching faculty and to incorporate the latest developments in the field of education. These inputs will help your academically qualified faculty gain the professional inputs and attain maximum benefit from deepening their understanding of how adults learn and enabling them to plan, develop, deliver and evaluate training more effectively.
